OME Spotlight: Neal Bourassa-Price

Originally from Vicksburg, Neal Bourassa-Price has also called Texas and Washington, D.C., home before returning to his home state. His experiences have given him an appreciation for new places, new people, and the unexpected directions life can take.

Neal’s career has been equally varied, including the corporate world, ministry, high school teaching, and school counseling before joining UMMC. During his time as an educator, he was named Teacher of the Year for the Vicksburg Warren School District. He now brings those experiences to his role as an Instructional Designer in the School of Medicine.

Outside of work, Neal is an avid reader and crocheter and enjoys finding opportunities to be creative. He is also a member of the Jackson Gay Men’s Chorus, where he shares his love of music and community.

Neal looks forward to this next chapter and to getting to know the faculty, staff, and students throughout the School of Medicine.
